DEDICATION We, the members of the staff, wish to dedicate this edition of the Lions Pause to our principal, Mr. Edwin A. Hendrix. SKIPPERS MESSAGE f Since the theme of this Lions Pause is sailing ships, I wish to express thanks to those of the crew who made this school annual possible. It is a fine log of activities and will be long cherished. Another yearly cruise has come to a close. Much has happened during this time to make us thankful-the war is over-our auditorium and classrooms have been completed-and students have been more desirous of building a good high school record. The students have shown increased interest and ability in student government. Relations with other high schools have been both enioyable as well as beneficial. This includes, in addition to athletics, inter-school assembly programs, student leader conferences and visits. As your Skipper, I extend best wishes to the graduates who are about to embark on that bigger cruise for which the high school voyage is but a preparation. The sailing ahead may not always be smooth, but stormy seas have always held a challenge. May you always remain good sailors in fair or stormy weather. . EDWIN A. HENDRIX, Principal.
