HISTORY In July, 1945, thirty-five new pupils came to Live Oak to begin the history of the Senior Class of 1959. As the years have passed, many of our classmates have left us. There are only eight members graduating this year who were in the original class. However, others have come to join us, and in May there will be a total of thirteen to graduate. In recalling our school days, there comes to our minds the usual joys and sorrows of school life. Perhaps our most vivid memories are those of our four high school years. September of 1955 was the month long awaited by us, We were FRESHMEN at last. After our initiation day, we felt that we .really belonged. Our Sophomore year was just another step towards our long awaited goal. Our Junior year came next. It proved to be really exciting! We gave the Junior-Senior Reception for the Seniors, we ordered our class rings, and most of all we dreamed of the year to come. Now our Senior year is here at last, and we are really engaged in preparation for our Graduation. As our graduation date approaches, we wish to thank all the teachers who have guided us through our school years, And now we say good-bye to Live Oak High, its faculty, and its student body.

PRCPHECY In an effort to predict what will happen ten years from now to the class of '59, we gaze into our crystal ball, and this is what we,see. Ralph is a name of world renoun. He has won the Indianapolis Speed Way Classics for three years straight. What's this now coming into focus? Why it's Ina Mae's Beauty Salon and she is styling Ruby's hair who is now number one on the list of models at Macy's. Who do we see cutting cane for the state? Why it's Donald - he neglected his wife and their eight. We see Tommy Smith serving as a test pilot - Wait! He is taking off in a space ship designed by Leroy to make daily trips between the moon and earth. It seems Le- roy is still expecting to get rich by becoming an inventor. Roy is still on the waiting list of the Lonely Hearts Club, Don't give up Roy - sure- ly someone will come along. The Baton Rouge General Hospital now comes into view, Who should be there, but Myra, who has just presented Oscar with the third set of twins. Still gazing into the crystal ball we see Irene who is now Supervisor of Nurses. In the black of the night we see Tommy 0'Neal lit up like lights, because he grabbed the black wire instead of the white. We see that Pete has finally attained his goal. He is World Champion of the International Liar's Club. It's hazy, but we think we see Geraldine acting as executive secretary to the President. What's that she's saying? Why Janice is now First Lady of the United States! Look! There goes Gerald as wild as a loon, His rocket completely missed the moon. Now he is in orbit in outer space - hurry back Did, we miss your old face.
