Senior Class History The big event that all of us have looked forward to has arrived. Graduation! Four years ago this thought was but a dream. We feel they have been four very happy years, although we are saddened by the fact that our school days at L.H.S. are over. Many memories go with us as we look for the last time, at a scant review of those four valuable years. Term 55-56, we were known as Freshmen. An exciting and inter- esting year it was. We were now grouped Academic and Commer- cial. We received our rings, crowned Shirley Showvaker Queen of the Valentine Dance, and took a very interesting and educational trip to Hershey and Harrisburg. We took part in band, chorus, and athletics. After a happy vacation, we returned, now known as Sophomores. We again took part in activities and enjoyed our first year in High School. 57-58. We are now Juniors. We will never forget this year, especially the all night decorating for the prom and staying up the next night half asleep to enioy it. We received our class rings. At the close of another successful year, we realized there was but one year left. We are now Seniors. After a struggle, we have finally earned enough money to pay all our bills. Our trip to Washington, D.C., couldn't have been better, or more interesting. The senior play, Rebel Without A Cause, starring Judy Long, Jesse Sheely and a cast of others went over big, thanks to Mr. Trimmer and the co- operation of all the pupils. The Christmas Dance was a huge suc- cess. After exchanging pictures, autographs, and friendly vows, we realize the time to receive our diplomas is here. As we move forward into the world to take our place as adults, we leave many thanks to our teachers for a wonderful iob well done. To our friends we say, Best of luck, and a last farewell. Respectfully Submitted, Mary Jane Arentz, Historian 25
