The adage Here Today, Gone Tomorrow, may well express the passing of time along this milestone of your educational experience. High school was iust another one of those life markers and how far you travel depends on your indi- vidual initiative and interest. Your present ad- vance is evidence of your desires to go forward. Then too, may you continue to grow in knowl- edge and understanding of life and its problems. Accept our best wishes for your success in all your endeavors, and may the blessings of your Alma Mater go with you. lSignedl Paul E. King Another school year has passed into history at L.H.S. and we wish to congratulate you, the members of the Class of l959, upon your graduation. We hope that your stay in school has been most profitable to you scholastically and socially and that it will always be a help to you in your chosen vocation and that your future accomplishments will win for you honor and respect. It was a pleasure to have had you in our school family and, in the years to come, we urge you not to forget your Alma Mater where you will always be welcome. Best wishes are extended to you with the hope that the future will always have some- thing good in store for you. lSignedJ Lloyd L. Stavely To the graduation Class of 1959 The disciplined mind is what education at every level should strive to produce. The years from six to eighteen are the years in which young men and women must learn to think clearly and ac- curately if they are to learn to think at all. The seed must be planted at the beginning and cultivated continuously if the crop is to be ready when it is required. These intellectual abilities are required, not merely as a prerequisite for advanced study, but also and especially for intelligent participation in the private and public affairs of a world where decisions must be made on the basis of informed and accurate thinking about science, about economics, about history and politics. lSignedJ Frank E. Basehoar, Sr. ,f .ff f f n M pil! C Mrs. Mildred Kline lSchool Secretaryl 6
