In Dedication Time has set the stage in L.H.S. to bring us a personality whose drive to reach perfection has been coupled with devotion and understanding for the individual student. To Mr. Beryl Harris, our band director, we dedicate the 1960 Wildcat. Mr. Harris has directed the Wildcat Band for seven years. His ingenuity has produced out- standing bands which have shown up well as augmentation for sports events, on the marching field, and in concert performances. Sincerity and modesty have shown through his every action with crystal clarity to Warrant the admiration of the entire student body. CCenter, rightj A northeast entrance opens to a paved parking lot which was constructed in the fall of l958. lBelowi One can often catch musical strains as he passes this doorway. It opens to the band hall where classes meet throughout the day. at ,, .-,h ,1 lLeftJ The main entrance to the gym faces First Street. Basketball season finds this doorway open for business two nights a week. P.E. classes use the back entrance. -' . --J ' ff' . , 1. , LH. . Boasts Modern tructure The Littlefield High School building is a light brick struc- ture of modern design. Some eight entrances make various sections of the building accessible for efficient use. Interior decorations carry out a modern motif with color schemes in pastel tones. A two-story section boasts a library and fifteen classrooms on the ground floor. An upper story houses homemaking, science, and commercial department laboratories. A southern wing consists of a gymnasium and an auditorium with a seating capacity of 1000. Two separate buildings nearby house lunch room and agricultural work- shop facilities.
