Showing much of the drive of the State Championship team, the Cats de- fendedtheir title for the first time. The Cats W on the first Confer- ence game with a win over Post by 42-12. The pass-minded Ante- lopes were very determinedj how- ever, they were fin a l l y beaten. The 19th consecutive win and 3rd conference win of the season came when we overpowered t he stubborn Muleshoe Mule s by 51-13. Both teams wer e penal- ized excessively. it 'Salle The Wildcats w r a p p e d up our ti t h consecutive w i n to beat th e Lockney Longhorns with zi score of 38-6 on L,ockney's own field. This was 21 non-conference game, but added to our prestige. Our team broke all records in yards gained rushing by going over 600 yards in an impressive win over the Cubs from Brown- field. Littlefield chalked it up to 53-13. td fb The Wildcats won an un- impressive game over Morton on October Z6th,by 40-13. That made our Zlst win and 5th oonferencegame of the year. Our winning streak ended on the fatal night of Nov. 10. The Levelland Lobo s beat the Littlefield Wildcats for the first time in 3 years. It wa s a close race and an exciting game all the way to the la st second of playing time. The Slaton Tigers tamed the Wildcats, and made us fight hard for a C lo se win of Z1-13. Thi s tussle was an unexpected oneg Little- field w a s slated to win by a much wider margin.
