With a fine nucleus of last years Championship team to work with, and an outstanding array of juniors and sophomores, the Wolves moved with speed and finesse through a tough schedule. Led by the powerful running of John Raffln and Dave Peterson, and the smooth performance of Quarterbacks John Kelley, Charles Jepson and Carley LePak, the team was a well-balanced scoring machine. Up front in the forward wall, stalwarts Arlin Becker, Doug Radtke, Merlin Becker, Don Dickson and Bud Martin opened many fine holes forthe backs, and presented a fine defense which caused opposing team manytror bles. Mr. Gruentzel's able assistance to the Wolves Line was very much in evidence. As a conclusion to a highly successful season, our team was well represented on the all-conference ballotlng. Arlin Becker, Bud Martin, and John Raffin won first-team berths: Dave Peterson and Merlin Becker second-team berths: and John Kelley and Doug Radtke won honorable men- tion.
