A. was organized in September and Mrs. Handrlch acted as adviser. As the weather became cooler we had to play inside. We took up oageball. We drew for color tournaments and ended up playing class tournaments. Later on in the year, we started with our basketball. The winners who received first and second place are respectively the following: non-original oratory, Marlene Klotzbeucher and Jack Kaphingstg four-minute speeches, Janet Gehrke and James O'Brieng extemporaneous speaking, Carol Jawort and Gordon Fergg extem- poraneous reading, Judith Hoppe and Pat Flanagang original oratory, Shirley Cronceand Shirley Chichg humorousdeclamation, Mary Jo Hoffmann and Glennace Cronceg and non-humorous declamation, Nancy Kersten and Donna Pruess. These students went to the District Conference Contest at Bonduel. Janet Gehrke, Marlene Klotzbeucher, Pat Flanagan, and Shirley Chich having received HAH ratings at Bonduel went on to the Regional Contest at Stevens Point. The various coaches were: Mrs. Handrich, humorous declamationg Mrs. Barrington, serious declamationsg Mrs. Testin, non-orgininal orations and extemporaneous reading, Miss Kelley, original orations, four-minute speeches, and extemporaneous speaking.
