vi A nOur Hearts Were Young and Gayn By Cornelia Otis Skinner and Emily Kimbrough Steward Mrs. Skinner Cornelia Skinner Otis Skinner Emily Kimbrough Purser Stewardess Dick Winters Admiral Harriet St. John Winifred Blaugh Leo McEvoy Tnspector Therese Madame Elise Cast Monsieur De La Croix Window Cleaner Albert Schultz Shirley Cronce Mary Klapper Lowell Prellwitz Janet Gehrke Don Dickson Nancy Kersten John Roman Roger Arndt Joan Johnson Shirley Steinbach Donald Flanagan Barbara Klemm Verlea Thompson Darlene Lightfuss Bill Tanner Donald Winter Presented March P9, 1955 Emily and Cornelia, two American girls, fulfilled their dreams of going to Paris. Cornelia's mother thought Cornelia was too young to go alone so they went to Paris too, on a different boat. Mrs. Skinner gave Cornelia a safety pocket so she could keep her valuables in it. Emily's mother had given her one too and they hoth dreaded wearing them so they quickly disposed of them. While onboard the boat, they became involved with two medical students whose names were Leo and Dick. They immediately fell head over heels in love with them. Just as they were to dock, Cornelia got a bad case of measles. Leo and Dick found a way to smuggle her out without the health inspector knowing. They continued their adventures in Paris where they stayed at the hotel of Madame Eliseand her daughter Therese. Monsieur De La Croix, a famous French actor was to teach Cornelia the art of acting but he wasn't interested in Cornelia, only her father. He told her that she had no talent, so there was no reason to stay in Paris. Through the consoling efforts of her father and mother, Emily and Leo, Cornelia found a new hope, andthus inspired with this new hope our Senior Class Play closed on a very happy note. Directed by Mrs. Barrington and Mrs. Testin.
