4 J F F' Fifty-seven freshmen entered Little Wolf High School in September of 1950. We elected in our first class meeting the following officers: Mike Riste, president, Tom Bonikowske, vice-president, Darlene Helms, secretary-treasurer, and Mary Hartz, student council representative. Our advisors were the former Miss Fggebrecht and Mr. Jennings. Eleven freshmen went out for forensics and Gloria Henschel placed in extemporaneous reading. In senior band were twelve class members and seven were in junior band. The boys out for football were: Bill Beck, Don Craig, Ray Domke, Mike Hartz, Bill Holtz, Tom Hoffmann, Mike Riste, Verlyn Strebe, Ronald Diver, David Sturm, Garth Newbauer, and Paul Osterero In basketball, Bill Beck, Don Craig, Ray Domke, Mike Hartz, Tom Hoffmann, Mike Riste, Ronald Kostrzak, Tom Bonikowske, Delvert Handrich, Allen Bradway, and John Hrubes took part. When we began our next year as sohpomores we numbered fifty-five. That year Mary Lee Holland Joined us. Our advisors were Miss Kohlbeck and Mr. Lin- den We elected Don Craig as president, Allen Bradway as vice-president, Tom Hoffmann, secretary-treasurer, Wanda Taggart and Tom Bonikowske, student coun- cil representatives. Football participants in our sohpomore class were: Tom Hoffmann, Don Craig, Lee Oppor, Verlyn Strebe, Allen Bradway, Ray Domke, Bill Holtz, Mike Riste, and David Sturm. Out for basketball were Mike Riste, Dave Sturm, Delvert Handrich, Ronald Kostrzak, Allen Bradway, Ray Domke, Tom Hoff- mann, and Tom Bonikowske. We were very active in the various clubs, band, chorus, and forensics. Roberta Seeger took part in the One Act Play. We held a very successful class party with record attendance. In our Junior year we lost Mary and Mike Hartz, Mary Lee Holland, Ruth Dur- rant, Hazel Plowman, and Garth Neubauer. We had now only fifty-two class mem- bers. Jerry Kimber joined us, and during the second semester Jerome Hunger- ford transferred to our school. Our advisors were Miss Zahrt and Miss Kavol- ski. Tom Hoffmann was president, Bill Holtz, vice-president, Wanda Taggart, secretary-treasurer, Joyce Fietzer, Betty Hast, and Roberta Seeger represented us on the student council. Besides the boys that went out for football the previous year there were John Hrubes, Robert Sohr, Don Fox, Alfred Thiel, and John Fermanick. Besides those who were out for basketball the year before, there was also Jerry Kimber. Forensics participants included: Fay Brennen- stuhl, Pat Roman, Roberta Seeger, Wanda Taggart, Gloria Henschel, Annette Tay- lor, and Robert Sohr. After receiving HAH ratings at Wittenberg, Pat Roman, Wanda Taggart, and Annette Taylor went on to Stevens Point where the latter received another HAH rating on her humorous declamation. The social highlight of the year was, of course, the prom. We were the first to hold a prom in the new gym. The theme was NAsleep In The Deep.H Another thrill we experienced was receiving our class rings. We began our senior year with an enrollment of fifty-three. Later George Brennenstuhl. joined us. For our fourth and final year we elected the follow- ing officersz Ronald Kostrzak, president, Jerry Kimber, vice-president, Gloria Henschel, secretary-treasurergand Tom Bonikowske, Joyce Fietzer, Tom Hoffmann, and Evan Hansen, student council representatives. Out for football were: Tom Hoffmann, Don Craig, John Hrubes, Alfred Thiel, Verlyn Strebe, Allen Bradway. Don Fox, Lee Oppor, John Fermanick, David Sturm, and all won letters. Five oi our boys were selected as first team members of the all-conference list, David Sturm, Allen Bradway, Verlyn Strebe, Tom Hoffmann, and Don Craig. Those out for basketball were: Don Craig, Tom Hoffmann, Ronald Kostrzak, Mike Riste, Tom Bonikowske, Jerry K1mber,'and Allen Bradway. We were glad that our float re- ceived first place in our Homecoming. Betty Rast represented our class in the Homecoming court of honor. A Christmas Ball was given and we engaged Benny Graham to provide the music. Wanda Taggart, Helen Webb, Roberta Seeger, Annette Taylor,and Gloria Henschel went to the district forensic contest where Annette Taylor received an NAU rating. Our class has held the Spirit Cup for three consecutive years. We chose blue and gold as our class colors and the American Beauty rose as our class flower. And now, we seniors look back on the last four years not without a twinge of nostalgia and with a deep sense of satisfaction as we consider our many achievements in both the scholastic and extra curricular fields.
