He tells a great deal about Lin- coln s accomplishments but in doing so he tries to emphasize the great character. He xvrites plainly and use.. xx ords everyone ought to be able to fullx understand. As a xvhole I liked the book verx xx ell. The author develops it so that it holds interest during the entire reading. He gives me a better undel- standing of Lincoln displaying nexv qualities in his character that I can admire. It acquaints me xvith more circumstances concerning the Civil NVar and in xvhich Lincoln took a prominent part. I would advise other pupils to read it as it xxill gixe them a better understanding of xx hat a great man Lincoln actually was.
