A croxxd of appioximately sexen hundied people packed the auditorium and balcony the greatest basketball croxx d in the history of any league game in Cattaraugus county. The receipts of this game were nearly S970 thereby testifying to the popularity of basketball in schools both small and large throughout this section. The following boys xvere axvarc ed letters after an xrduous schedule of txventy-one games had been played: Captain 'xl hitmore Derby Flattery Cryer Phillips and Nlanagcr Alan J. C'lm171,Qll. Through the athletic association treasury provision xv is made for a spccixl axvard to Donald Phillips picked by Coach Case 'ms the leading pl iyer and for an axvard of bronze medals to the letter men. The 1928-29 season xvas one almost unsurpassed for general interest in the community, and for erthusiastic backing.
