Funny Bone Features Elaine: At last, I have written something that will be accepted by any magazine. Nadine: What is it? Elaine: A check for a year's subscription. Father: What a boy you are for asking questions. I'd like to know what would have happened if I'd asked as many questions when I was a boy. Dean: Perhaps, you'd have been able to answer some of mine, Marilyn: Is it true that we come from dust? Mother: Why, I guess so, Marilyn: And is it true that when we' die we return to dust? Mother: That's what the Bible says, Marilyn: Well, there's someone under the bed either coming or going. lf ,M:,Peterson: Francis, do ou Y think you should be taking my daughter to night clubs all the time.? Francis: Indeed not ! then he added hopefully, I..et's try to reason with her. Mr. McColley: Why haven't you mended the holes in my socks ? Anne: - You didn't buy that fur coat I wanted, so I figured if you didn't give a wrap, I wouldn't give a darn. There were two girls in an eight story building. It caught fire and there was no.fire escape. One girl had a flashlight. Annie: I'll shine the light down and you slide down the beam.'9 Lois: Do you think Ifm crazy? I'd get half way down and you would turn the light off. Manager: For this job we want a responsible woman. Max: Then that's me, Everywhere I've worked, when something went wrong, they told me I was responsible. Bill: Someone drove over the ball diamond and left tracks but it wasn't rneen Mrs. Glasser: Correcting his English, It wasn't I, Bill. Bill: lt wasn't me either. Billie H, was phoning his home, Hello, mother, Would it be all right if I brought some friends home for dinner tonight? Mother: Why, certainly, dear. l'd love to have them. Billie: I'm sorry, he apologized. after a brief pause, I must have the wrong number, Harlan: Er-a Dad. l'm in love with a girl, and-- Father: Well, you couldn't have made a better choice, A lawyer was questioning Harry about the truthfulness of a neighbor. Harry: Wall now, I wouldn't exactly say he was a liar, but I tell ya, when it comes time to feed his hogs, he has to git somebody else to call 'em for him. joan: Most intelligent people are conceitedf' Betty: Oh, I don't know. I'rn not. Patty was wearing an enormous flashing gem. Carolyn: Gee,,is't'hat diamond gen- uine? Patty: Well, if it ain't, I sure been beat out of a dollar and a half.
