Here's good news for you from the world of fashions. This is the model, Janice Alton, and see the dress she's wearing. The costume she is modeling was fashionable about ten years ago and is rapidly coming back into style--thanks to Janice! For-the benefit of the radio audience, we will describe it, It is a huge, quilted skirt made of black net. Her blouse is very fashionable with pushup balloon sleeves. The accessories include black pumps and handbag with an imported I 5 Swagger Brim hat that is very ultra-modern. We always knew soxnething like this would happen to her because of her taste for clothing. Janice has been a very successful Powers Model since graduation from L.S,l-LS, Keep up the good work, Jan! Ladies and Gentlemen, we think this is going to be a pleasant surprise to all. The sports world brings to you Marian Pippitt who, after having attended college in Greeley, Colorado, has been basketball coach at the Little Sioux High School for two years, The team, with the help of its coach, 'has reached its last game and is now playing in the finals at Des Moines, Iowa, We bring to you the last quarter of one of the hottest games of the season. Hush, here they come now and listen to the Boos! No wait! There's only a few seconds left--one of the forwards makes a field goal tieing the score 2.2-ZZ and the Boos turn to cheers, Logan fumbles the ball and it's Blue out. One second left to play and Sioux Shoots wildly from the Half and, much to the surprise of everyone, it goes in just as the buzzer sounds, Marian and her team step forward to get the trophyfand see who's presenting it to them--our own Anne McColley. We hear she's the famous forward on the Red Heads --averages 100 points a game. Quite different from your usual three, right Anne? Both girls took up sports after graduation and have been very successful, Anne went to business school for a half year, then traveled extensively over the United States, On her tour, she met a young man, who is now her husband. His father is the manager of the Red Heads team. Hence, she was interviewed and accepted as a member of the team, She tried out for guard but they told her she was just a natural-born forward, Anne started playing with them three years after gr aduation, Last but not least, we bring to you the second Lilly Pons, Miss Ylonda Hussing. In this year of 1962, we find her just as attractive as she was ten years ago--still wearing that pleasant smile, She's quite famous now and is to sing the title role in the opera, Carmen, in the Metropolitan in New York, This is her second I appearance in the operatic circle, She still does commercial art workoccasionally for the New York Times, This is Station L.,S.T,V, signing off for tonight with our best wishes to the class of 1952 for continued success in their chosen fields. We wish to thank S. W. Madison a newcomer to the television world, for relinguishing the time from his amateur hour which has made it possible for this program to be given. 4. fi
