In discussing our present squad, those of former years should not be ,., forgotten. For its was the team of 1925 and 1926 that won second honors 3 in the Penta County Tournament-thus bringing the irst trophy to Morrow X High and paving the way for many others. I ri: In the following two years it seemed that our boys could not gain their N X old footing. Although they suffered many defeats yet the Green and Gold f 5: did 'not give up hope. It was due to the cooperation of the boys and their :I X worthy coaches that the old feeling of doing better was always uppermost in their minds. , 22 i : The present year saw a very flashy squad representing Morrow High I X and out of nineteen games played only three defeats were suffered during N I-I the entire year. One on the home Hoor, one in the County Tournament and ' one in the District Tournament. , 3 At the County Tournament our boys received just praise for they 53 X showed they knew how to play basketball by handing defeat to two of the N best teams the county and coming out second. At the District Tournaf ,. 'A' ment, after being victorious over one team, they met defeat at the hands of X the previous champions of the tournament. .. . Latin I is composed of Freshmen and some Sophomores and juniors, who, not real' N izing the value of Latin in the heginning of their course entered this year, thus making a i class of first quality. yi All three classes have heen interested in compiling Latin Scrap books that are I I f decorative as well as instructive. f After a lapse of three years French has heen reinstated in the curriculum.
