fear Our class was honored to have Mario Gutierrez from Costa Rica attend school in Little Falls, It was fun learning about him and his country. HOmecoming was special because it was our last. How we laughed at the skit, Crosby Crush! We waited in suspense as Rich, Bob, and Ken opened the envelope. Then Marcy was crowned queen and we were all cheering. That night we Crushed Crosby which really made our day complete. Our class play was Paint the Town Pink. The large cast gave many of us an oppor- tunity to have roles. Remember how we laughed when that shocking pink chair was brought out and Mrs. Lawton sat on the wet paint. The big fashions in our year were v-necked mohair sweaters, oxford-cloth shirts, shifts, and culottes. . ' On the national scene, our country came close to war during the Cuban crisis, and we all breathed a sigh of relief when it was over. A rocket soared toward Venus. The Minnesota governor's race was the closest in history. Our year soon drew to a close with the spring formal, the senior party, skip day, and L the final rush of activity. Then came graduation . . . our high school days at an end, but our lives just begihning.

Some of us participated in the Passion Play presented that year . It was interesting to get acquainted with Laura Verona, our exChange student from Italy. The previous summer the Flyers were state runners- up in baseball. Kennedy became our new President and the Gophers went to the Rose Bowl. Then we were juniors . . . a busyiyear for us; We liked our lovely new school even though we had trouble getting used to the long halls and the half-hour lunch periods. Our Homecoming float V for Victory won first prize. Room for the Groom, our class play, was a big success. The elopement scene when the ladder broke was hilarious. Those of us in the choir enjoyed presenting the Operetta Allegro and ap- pearing on TV. That summer the band went on its trip to Chicago. Nationally, an astronaut circled the earth for the first time, and the twist skyrocketed to fame. And then . . . there we were . . . seniors! It was hard to believe, but as we began exchanging pictures and ordering our rings, we suddenly realized that this was our last year, and we were determined to make it our best. 19 .7,er
