Tonight our graduating class of 11 will be brought together once again to see how each of our lives have changed. But for now its another working day. As I, Holly Lewis, make my way to my private Law office down town I came upon the scene of an accident. A rather large station wagon with a sign on the door saying Little Bow Peeps Child Care Service, driven and owned by no one else but Becky LeFever accompanied by 10 rather anxious children backed into a commercial produce truck. The truck was driven by her own cousin, Earl LeFever. It seems Earl is now one of the world's largest cabbage producers. From what 1 could make out from all the yelling between the two is that Becky was being besieged by the children and didn't see Earl. Earl said she didn t look, so the only thing the police could do was to take them both to the station and book them for causing such a riot. 1 assured both of them that I would take care of everything but first I had to go to my office. Well finally! reached my office in which my personal legal secretary Robin Rowley met me at my door with a handful of messages. After my brief experience with Becky and Earl I wasn't sure I wanted to look at any messages. But work must go on. My ! first message was from David Reynolds. It seems Dave is planning to sign a $6 million dollar contract with the Tampa . Bay Bandits as a starting quarterback and he wants me to draw up tne contract so that he can read and understand it at the j same time. I take it Dave nad been reading so many plays in play books that it had affected his normal reading skills. My ' next message was from my long time best friend Bonnie Schall. Bonnie is now one of the world's most well known free- lance photographers. According to National Geographic Bonnie has made quite a name for herself photographing natives and wild animals in Africa. According to one of the articles, Bonnie was attacked by a native tribe member because of a slight misunderstanding. No reason was given for the misunderstanding, but if it has anything to do with Bonnie I'm sure there is a real reasonable reason. The message said that Bonnie is on a Safari in Africa and won't be able to make it back to the reunion. But I'm sure we will be seeing her around. My next message was from Carmen Wilson of Wilson Catering Company. I hear it's one of the finest in New York! Carmen is doing all the catering for the party tonight and just called to let me know that she has everything under control, as usual. Well, 1 decided it was time for me to rescue Becky and Earl from the police station. On my way to the station I passed a bar with a name that caught my eye. The bar's name was Snowball's Hideaway Bar and Lounge. People were coming out laughing and stumbling all over the place so I decided to go in and investigate. To my suprise, the establishment was owned by no one elso but Kent Snowball Snow himself. Kent has become a very successful business man. 1 learned that he now owns a chain of Snowball Hideaways across America. According to Kent, his great success came when he learned how not to consume his profits. Kent and I made a deal. He promised me he would furnish all the spirits for the reunion if he could use the words drink, drank, or drunk without getting himself in trouble. We had a deal. Well, 1 finally reached the Police Station to help Becky and Earl out with their legal needs when I discovered Dee Sweley behind bars with them. Now I've been hearing a lot about Dee lately on the news and how his large auto company entitled Dee-D-E-E Sports Car Company was developing the world's fastest sports car ever built. Well, it seems Dee took his newly developed XXMX super-delexe sports car out for a test run and got picked up for exceeding the speed limit by 198.6 miles per hour. A little too daring for me. But I assured Dee I would do the best I could in getting him out. My business was taken care of at the police station and Becky, Earl, Dee, and I all left in a slow and peaceful manner. It was getting pretty late so we decide to go to the reunion together, which was being held at the very exquisite Versailles Room down town. We arrived at the same time as Jodi Feldman did. Jodi had her arm and her leg in a cast and her neck in a neck brace. Later we found out that Jodi was helping one of her patients at the Feldmen Institute of Physical Therapy get into a super-sonic whirlpool, and was sucked in. Because of Jodi's height they had a hard time finding her in the ratner large tank, but they managed to save her just in time. It comes to mind that Jodi was always very accident prone and lucky for her it was only her arm, her leg, and her neck. Just as we were making our way to the entrance of the ball room, there was a huge gust of wind and the next thing I knew a huge camouflage helicopter was landing on the front lawn. Who else should make a grand entrance like that but Bonnie Schall. Bonnie said she got sick of looking at natives and wild animals and just couldn't sit in her hut while we were all reminiscing about old times. She decided to make a quick road trip. Sound familiar. Well, finally we walked into the Versailles Room and Jodi hobbled in. We came upon a man and a woman both in long, white coats. As we got closer I realized it was Dr. Carol Jean Best and her associate Dr. Friskopp. They have been working very hard on research for the past three years at their private research center in Texas and have discovered a new cure for several killing diseases. This is quite an accomplishment for the two doctors. Carol also informed me that she was working on a cure for a presently incurable disease called Senioritis. The disease affects most Seniors the first few weeks of school but of course our class was never associated with it. Now as I make my way through all my old classmates, I look back at them and I have discovered many things. We have all gone our own way and have made something of ourselves. We have proven that we can do it. But we have never lost the memories of the good times at Litchfield High School; something that each of us will cherish for the rest of our lives. The night turned out to be a great success and everyone left, talking with the excitement, of our 20 year reunion in 2004. It seems hard to believe that it was 10 years ago that we were celebrating our graduation night. I'm sure everyone else felt the way 1 did — and that is, 10 years younger. Now we share our tears. You taught us the meaning of friendship. We thank God for lending you to us; we thank your parents for giving us the privilege of knowing you. We walk a little taller, are a little wiser, a little better from knowing you. You touched our lives and our hearts with an impact only God can know. Now as we say goodbye, we are envious of God for taking you home, because we loved you too. ALLEN WAYNE BROWN Born Nov. 11, 1971 Died Oct. 26, 1983 The little toy dog is covered with dust, But sturdy and staunch it stands; And the little toy soldier is red with rust, And the musket, it moulds in his hands. Time was when little toy dog was new, And the soldier was passing fair: But that was the time when our Little Boy Blue Kissed them and put them there. Eugene Fields ■ Now Robin, wait your turn.
