The world is round. Only 1 3 of the people are asleep at one time and the other 2 3 are awake and up to some mischief. And I haven't slept for a week. MICHELLE CARMEN GAYE CHAMBERLIN Advice is like castor oil, easy to give but uneasy to take. To be happy is to smile, so smile and be happy. We the Senior Class of 1979, will to the Junior Class, nothing because you think you have it all al- ready. 8 SENIOR PROPHECY Dear Friends of L.H.S., It hardly seems possible that 10 years have gone by and it is now the year 1989. We the graduating class of 1979 decided to charter an airplane from the Litchfield International Airport and go to El Salvador to see our classmate Elizabeth Aguilar for our 10th reunion. I, Lori Lewis took a weeks leave of absence from the Children's Special Needs Center in Colorado to go on this trip. Usually residents are only allowed 2 days, but since this was a special occasion they let me take off the whole week! 1 happened to be the first one to arrive at the airport, so 1 thought I'd greet all my old classmates as they boarded the plane. The first of my old classmates that 1 see are Jeff Lucas and Eddy Kucera. They now are in a band called 1 'Flying High'' and are doing just that. They have just released their third gold album. They said they couldn't go a whole week without practice, so they brought along their instruments. Hey! That looks like Darrell Schall, the 2nd Evil Knevil, riding his Harley Davidson under the oncoming planes on the runway. Darrell always was kind of a dare-devil, he even used to try to jump ditches behind the school! Is that Jill Sweley coming this way with her head bandaged up? Yep! She says she is into meterology now and she predicted a sunny day and was caught in the middle of a big hail storm. And can you believe it, her private nurse is no one other than Amy Albrecht. Amy says she'd rather be working with children, but since Jill's so little she's the next best thing. Boarding the plane now is Eh. M. K. Wilson. Melody says she's glad she made it. She's been over in Africa the past four years working with gorillas, looking for a cure for baldness. She was accidently locked in a cage. She's been in there the last 2 weeks as her assistant mistook her for one of the patients! Now there's a limosine pulling up outside and look who is getting out. The hostess of the new talk show ' 'It Hap- pened Yesterday.'' Loma Rolfsmeyer they say is living quite well, making close to $100,000 a year. And there is her personal cosmotologist, Mary Jane Adams right at her side. Mary Jane says she enjoys her job because it gives her enough time and money to design top women's fashions on the side. Who is that reeling off commands? No one other than Gaye Chamberlin. This is only Gaye's first year in the army, but she is already a four-star General. Hey, there's Mike Toby coming up the ramp now. He is carrying two large suitcases. Mike carries his business with him. He is a traveling salesman which is perfect for Mike beings he always was a little pushy. 1 wonder who that a is carrying the big pile of business papers. Wow! It's the well known accountant JoAnn Wil- loughby. She says most of the budgets she figures are pretty easy to manage, but she just can't seem to make the U.S. treasury get out of the red. JoAnn also has trouble remembering all her personal account balances in foreign banks. That's odd isn't it? Well here comes a couple of girls in white, but it appears they're in quite different fields of medicine. One is Michelle Carmen who is an LPN and is carrying a bedpan and thermometer. She says she carries these for security as plane rides make her rather nervous. The other is Annette Schall who is carrying a set of dentures she just fit to Jimmy Carter's mouth. There are only a couple of seats left on the plane and it looks like Joan Reynolds is boarding the plane to take one. She says she has been doing social work in select cases across the country. She selects a name-brand case and socializes with it! We are all now waiting on a very important person who is bringing the spirits for our trip, that person is Greg Hoffman. I hear his business is booming at ' 'Hoffman's Hangover Hut''. Greg was kind enough to supply the bever- ages for the trip. It was a great day for a plane ride and when we reached El Salvador, Elizabeth Aguilar met us at the airport. When she greeted us she was so excited that she started talking in several different languages. Elizabeth was so used to being the interperter for her country's President, she forgot we only spoke English. El Salvador was beautiful and everyone enjoyed the reunion in 10 years, 1999, Elizabeth agreed to come see us in America. Well we'll see you in 1999. The girls played Sandhills the first night of LVC Tournament at Callaway and won. The next night they played Ansley in a game everyone will remember and came out the winners! They lost to Callaway in the finals but did come home with second place trophy! The lady Trojans closed their season with a record of 9-6. The Ju- nior Varsity had a very successful season with a record of 8-0. The highlight of the year was the defeat of Elba who only lost two games, one being to the Litchfield gals. The low was the loss to Ansley in the first round of the LVC.
