Instead you should ask yourself Where am I now? Time is too precious to waste even fearing a moment in the future or regretting the past. Live every moment to its fullest, for it is ours to live but once. Time will be our constant challenge. It is a gift given to all-its value means the most to those who use it wisely. Time has given us many memories. -vK 7 We are the essence of the waters. We try to keep some of our youthful spirit that keeps us moving with joy. To the power and glory ahead is our difficult task. We ride the crest, the high point, the summit. And we try to love it and remember that it will never come . As we all come together we will see what each of us has made of our life the last ten years. Well look who's strolling over to the punch bowl in his $100 boots and stetson. Mark Albrecht one of the biggest cattle ranchers this side of the Loup. His opera- tions have expanded so quickly he's now larger than Monfort of Colorado. As we finish talking to Mark who should we bump into but Penny Becker. Penny has since went on to Beauty School and is Telly Savala's personal hair dresser. She is currently starring in a sequal to Shampoo . What's this cloud of haydust coming? Why its Brad Howard now owner and operator of the world's largest Haygrinding, stackmoving and windrowing operation. Brad operates in all 50 states and 11 foreign countries. It is now estimated that 8 out of 10 stacks are stacked, moved and ground by Howard's Hayers Inc. We see Gladys Best every once in awhile. She's now part owner and head bunny of Marv's Bar which has a chain of 6 night spots across the state. The talk shifted to sports and undoubtedly Bruce Hird's name came up. Bruce couldn't be with us tonite because he is currently in the 7th and deciding game of the NBA playoff, playing with the Boston Celtics. Good luck Bruce! It's Mary Rolfsmeyer head mechanic for Mario Andretti at the Indy 500. Mary received her formal education of engines from her brother John in Hazard. As we all step outside for some fresh air who should be driving up the street but Karen Lucas. Karen is on her way to work where she is the head Hauncho at Eaton Yale. We all start towards the door when we meet Judy Unick famous seamstress and clothes designer. Judy studied under Edith Head and currently designs all the clothes for the Miss Nude Universe contestants. Speaking of the universe that reminds me of the famous playboy, playgirl duo, Mitch Lewis and Susie Albers. We're very lucky they decided to drop in tonite since they were on their way to Las Vegas from Paris. They travel internationally and are well known for their exotic parties they host. It's time for the entertainment to start and who should be singing for us? None other than Joyce Kucera, hailed as the second Olivia Newton John. Joyce al- ready has 6 gold albums out and hasn't even reached the peak of her career. Tomorrow she returns to Cae- sars Palace to begin a nationwide concert. Joyce's accompanist tonite is Becky Rasmussen. Becky is a concert pianist for the Philharmonic Or- chestra which is recognized world wide. Becky will begin a two week tour to the Soviet Union next Wednesday. The automobile industry was the next subject to be discussed and the leader of the discussion was Barry Kramer. Barry should be top authority on cars since he and his brother make and sell custom made Hot Rods. Their motto We can make anything your heart desires is certainly true because they've sold Hot Rods to many famous people. The speaker for the evening is Mick Unick, who is a disc jockey. Mick hosts his own radio show with Wolfman Jack on MICK. We forgot to mention that Carleen Siegel also could not be with us tonite due to the fact that she is in the middle of the season with the newly formed Hazard Hens of the Womens Basketball Association. Randy Chloupek has opened a new business in town. It's called Chloupeks Cat G Dog Center. Since opening his Center, after graduation from Veterinarian School, he claims his business is not going to the dogs. Since we're talking business we'll mention that Cindy Knepper is here with us tonite. She is now an accountant for Howard Hughes Enterprizes and she really enjoys her work. Why there's JoAnn Lucas now. JoAnn lives in a suburb of Litchfield in a new three story 28 room man- sion. She says it's quite a chore keeping up with 5 kids in that big house. Class Prophecy, Cont. Detroit is the home of John Schall. He now owns a ten plot of used cars. John's dealership called, Dis- honest Johns Used Cars , is the biggest used car lot in America. By the way John has brought a large selection with him this evening and invites you to look over his newest of used cars after tonites ceremonies. We want to thank Jeanne Kohls for painting the background tonite. Jeanne is an accomplished artist who's latest artistic feat was painting lines on the highway thru Litchfield. And of course we'd like to extend a special thanks to Robyn Rasmussen, the universally famous gormet cook. As every one has read Robyn has been married 3 times. This is Robyn's first try at cooking for a large group and she hopes you enjoy the meal as much as her late husbands did. As the class of 1975 walks out into the cool of the evening we remember many things of this reunion in 1985. We can hardly wait until another ten years when we get together again. The Trojans had 24 players participating in foot- ball this year. Injuries played a big part in this year's cam- paign as there were 12 players hampered with injuries at one time or another during the season. The 1974 football season also marked the coaching debut of Michael Sullivan as the Trojans' coach. Two players were named to the football A11-Conference Team. End 28 Volleyball Has Disappointing Year This years volleyball team exper- ienced a very disappointing 2-9 season. They had 2 returning starters; Carleen Siegel and Joyce Kucera. The lack of ex- perience and the fact that they played some very tall teams was a disadvantage to them. The girls played in the Confer- ence Tourney in Sargent and lost the first night to Sargent. Then they were invited to play in the Loup City Invitational where they were defeated by Ord the first night. On the first day of Dis- tricts, held at Litchfield, they defeated Amherst and then faced a tough Pleasanton team only to close out their season. Carleen Siegel was named to the LVC East Division A11-Conference team. The 1974-75 Trojans enjoyed one of the most successful seasons in the history of the Litchfield school. The Trojans posted a 20-2 record which tied the team with the 1970- 71 team for the school's history. The 74-75 cagers won the PALS Tourney, the Loup Valley Confer- ence Tourney, the D-13 Districts, the Regional, and went on to play two games at the State Tournament. Three starters were named to the first team of the Loup Valley All- Conference team: Senior Bruce Hird and Juniors Dick Wardyn and Joe Lucas. Senior Brad Howard was named to the second team. Hird was also a High School All-Amer- ican and a member of the Class D RESERVE TEAM, Back Row: Coach Jim Janski, Danny Lewandowski, Carl Kucera, Ed Hammond, Myron Beck, Jim Goodner, Marty Albrecht, Asst. Coach Bob Smith. Front Row: John Lucas, Brent Howard, John Willoughby, Jerry Lucas, Larry Mason, Ike Mason. All State All Tourney team. 6-9 Hird set a new single season record for rebounds with 438 and most blocked shots in a season with 175. Howard also set a career record for most assists with 456. Other men contributing to the successful season were: Senior starter Mick Unick and back-up men Mitch Lewis, Mark Al- brecht, and Randy Chloupek. Litch- field ran up a string of 14 straight wins during the season until they were beaten by Class C arch-rival Pleasanton. That loss was the Trojans' only one during the regular season. 31 Litchfield entered the District 13 Tournament with a season record of 16-1, which gave them a top seed in the tournament. On February 24, 1975, the Tro- jans started their trek toward the State finals. They played Oconto in the first round of the tournament and beat the Tigers by the lopsided score of 87-33. In the second round of the tournament, they beat the Amherst Broncos 69-57. In the finals of the D-13 Championship, the Trojans played the Callaway Bears for the title. The Trojans were fired up for the Bears that night and beat them to the tune of 68-57. Litchfield’s next opponent for the Regional Champ- ionship and a berth in the State finals was the Thed- ford Trojans. On March 5th, Litchfield and Thed- ford met at the Broken Bow High School with Litch- field coming away the victors at 68-58. Litchfield had last gone to the State Tournament in 1936. The 74-75 cagers were the first modem team to gain a berth in the State finals. On the day be- fore the tourney began, KOLN-KGIN television film- ed the final Trojan pep rally and later broadcast them on statewide television. On the first day of the State finals, March 13, Litchfield beat the Ponca Indians by the score of 56-54. Litchfield had led by as many as ten points during the game. The Ponca team came back in the final quarter to tie the Tro- jans with less than 16 seconds left in the game. Litchfield was down by two. Bruce Hird was fouled and made two crowd-pleasing free shots to tie Ponca. With 8 seconds left, Ponca missed a shot that was re- bounded by Hird who passeef the ball long to guard Mick Unick who fired in an 18 ft. game-winning shot with 2 seconds left. The next day, the Trojans were matched up against the Shickley Longhorns. Shickley had been ranked number one in the regular season rankings all year long ahead of number two Litchfield. Shickley proved their number one ranking was not a fluke by beating the Litchfield Trojans by the score of 94-71. The next day, Shickley won the 1975 State Champ- ionship. Litchfield was ranked number five in the final State rankings for 1975. Senior Bruce Hird was named to the first team Class D A11-Tournament team. The Junior class, under spon- sorship of Bill Van Zant, worked very hard to make such an enjoy- able evening possible for the Sen- iors, the student body, and the faculty. The Banquet started at 6:30. Soph- omore servers were Ed Hammond, Jim Goodner, Myron Beck, Peter Reitz, Robyn Unick, Cindy Rey- nolds, Elaine Macjewski, and Deb- bie Knepper. Complete in their native costumes, they not only served the meal, but entertained as well with two numbers-- Yes, We Have No Bananas and a dance to The Lion Sleeps Tonight . The dance started at 9:00 with Mother Rush providing the music. The crowning took place at 10:00. Carleen Siegel and Bruce Hird were crowned queen and king and attendants were Judy Unick and Randy Chloupek, and Joyce Kucera and John Schall. During the dance, a contest was held for the best dancing couple. In a clap-off by the students, Mitchell Lewis and Susie Albers took the honor. The evening of fun was just be- ginning. After the dance, a pizza and coke party was held at the Winter's Memorial Building for students and their dates. From there, they journeyed to Mable Caulkins' bam where Jerry Lewis entertained in one of his movies, for those who stayed awake. After the movie, it was time for a 4:00 breakfast back at the Winter's Building. 55 Graduation Dr. Robert N.
