FHA began the year by hosting a slumber party for all its members and their guests, about forty girls attended. Grand Island North West was the setting for the District Convention and wc had an attendance of 14 girls. To raise money for the an- nual FHA Christmas Dance, they sponsored numerous cake raffles and a coffee cake bake. Some of the benches in the business district were given a fresh coat of paint by the FHA and for May Day, they distributed May baskets to many persons in the com- munity. The highlight for the year was the State Lead- ership Conference, held in Lincoln on April 16 th and 17 Personal, Family and Community Living, Improvement, Aim of FHA Chapter RAVENNA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FISHER INSURANCE AGENCY

National Honor Society This year our Na- tional Honor Society selected Robert Glidden and Mary Ann Lovitt to submit applications for the National Honor Society Scholarship. This was on the basis of scholarship, leader- ship, activities, and character. This spring the National Honor Society offered to paint the stage, in the town park. This will help spruce up the park and will make the graduation exercises in the park more attractive. It was also decided to make a plaque which will bear the names of 1973's class vale- dictorian and salu- tatoran. Each class's valedictorian and sal- utatoran will be added in the following years. Our Academic Leaders Student Council The Student Council has faithfully supplies us with a pop machine this year. They also sponsored the Homecoming activities and the Christmas film. Annual Staff Cries of, How should I crop this picture? “Hey. would somebody proof read this copy.” and “we need more pictures!!! can still be heard coming out of the Business Education room where the Trojan yearbook staff spent many long, productive hours, Each page has to be planned, laid out. lablcd. and indexed before being sent to the publisher. This year the annual stafT built their own dark room, and are producing their own pictures. This year's staff was very hard working Not settling for the alotted budget, they went to work to raise additional money by having a pancake feed. They also tried to have a car wash for several consecutive weekends but had to cancel due to adverse weather Trying to outsmart the elements they then scheduled a car wash on a school day. However they found they could not fool mother nature they ended up washing cars in the rain.
