Until Christmas the team had suffered only one loss. After Christmas vacation, the story was a little different. Although the Trojans were beaten out of the Loup Valley Conference Tourney by Sargent the first night, the team still received a conference crown of of co-championship. In the District Tourney Ansley was the first victim by over twenty points, Thedford followed losing by three points, and after many postponements, Arcadia and Litchfield met to decide the championship. Now the long hours of practice were to pay off, with the District Class C CHAMPIONSHIP, a totally new experi- ence for Litchfield. To date the basketball picture stands with a 12 win-5 loss re- cord. We can not hold up the press to put in the outcome of the regionals, we can only hope. The Litchfield Trojanettes blasted off this year with eight wins and two losses. With two years of experience they have developed fast spikers and a good defense. With this record and team, they hope to bring home a trophy in March from the Conference Tournament.
