CLASS HISTORY We, the Class of '45, first Climb!! th! hill to Litchfiehd High School as Fres on with doubt in our minds, but with courage in our hearts. When we enrolled as Freshmen? we numbered twenty eight. However, during our first year we lost four classe matesg VII., Melva Cords, -louise Livingston, Robert Sweley. had Leonard Hazankowski. Our social. life that year consisted of Freshmen Initiation amdthro olass parties. .Mr. Anderson, the history teaoherg and Mr. Rasmussen? the Vocational Ag instructor, v were our sponsors. d As Sophomorea, we Jhose for our sponsor Misa Wright, who left us before the year was finished. Miss Huffman took her place. This year we required the Freshmen to stand trial before being admitted as Hilltoppersa Six of us were chosen to serve at the Junior Senior B3nquet. Mhrilyr Frnndige left us at the end or this year. , y As Juniors we presented 'George In A Jann as our class play. In our estimation it was a howlw ing success. Then came the Junior Senior Banquet, which proved to be very successful because of the help and encouragement given by our sponsor Mrs. LaRue. we lost on Sorensen, John Lang, and Laura and Lorene Hansen during our Junior year. Rose la Johnson moved into our midst, :Aly to leave usrV t the end of the term. Stopping in Arkansas at a small country school house, we see that the teacher le Lola Young. She is trying to support the family because her husband, Dale Sickels. feels that he needs a vacation after working on the railroad so long-Htwo long years. As we go into Hollywood. we see a movie is being made. It is said to be the greatest movie of all times. The director, of all people, is Clifford Vlan, and his secretary is none other than Marie Mlnshull. We see the actor who takes the part of the hero in the movie, and who should lt be but Lloyd Behrens. He is considered a second Clark Gable, Again the scene changes and we go back to our home state, Nebraska. We see a large farm. Near the chicken house is a lady dressed in a sunbonnet and apron, feeding a large flock cf chickens. Why, it is our old classmate, dean Zinneli Entering the town of Litchfield, we see a new hospital has been erected, The head doctor is anothm one of our classmates, Gordon Mills. Since the pops ulation of the town has grown to 5,000,000, he has many patients. He has a very capable nurse who is none other than the blonde of the class of 245, Ella Anderson. Uolng down the street we enter a large cream station. Many workers are busy taking care of the customers. Asking for the manager, we find lt is Bernard Kieborz. Having found our classmates scattered all over the country, we complete our trip on our magic carpet z
