Krngley VanDenburg rs the owner of the Krng Ranch rn Texas Judy Wade rs chaplam of the Umted States Senate Mr Rrchard Speicher, our Class Advrsor, rs now renred and spends hrs trme tour-mg the country and attendrng all musrcal premreres Accordmg to our crystall ball, the members of the Class of 1958 wrll be dorng O K. rn the future Class Hlstory As our Senror year nears rts end, we look back over our years here at the Lrtchfreld School and recall many fond memorres When we started school rn August of mneteen hundred and forty frve, there were forty three members rn our class Of these only mneteen are with us rn our Senror year They are Gale Adams, Eleanor Bender, Mane Bender, Addie Brooks, Mary Lee Cook, Patncra Cox, Larry Hamrlton, Betty Herendeen, Bruce Krop schot, Betty Lambright, Robert Marns, Karen Purdy, Deanna Rrce, Judy Shaw, Mary Ann Swope, Grnny Smrth Judy Wade, Evelyn Waters, and Kmgsley VanDenburg Upon enterrng Hrgh School, we saw many new faces had jorned our class since that frrst day of school They were Joan Austm, Harold Aungst, Margean Batt, Grace Bradley, Robert Caldwell, Reta Cochrane Donna Cavenaugh, Sharon Denbrock, Mae Ruth Dodds, Clair Green, Lxnda Grlffrths, Harold Hess, Farth Hoppe, Charlene Krumvede, LaVem Kurtz, Brenda Larsen, Guy Luzrer, Ruth Morr'lson, Oaldee Noblrt, Mrda Norton, Edith Pratt, Delores Sayles, Davrd Scoggrns, Gary Shepard, Verna Snyder, Maxrne Sperbeck,Sally Trernan, and Kurt Zregler The Freshman year was a busy one for all of us We were trying to adjust to our new surroundrngs and get acquarnted, as well as do the very best we could rn our school work Soon after school started our class was orgamzed Our Presrdent was Larry Hamrlton, Vrce Presrdent, Krngsley VanDenburg, Secretary, PatCox and Treasurer, Edrth Pratt We chose Mr Spercher as our Class Advrsor A very rmpressrve memory whrch each of us have for tlns year rs that of Freshmen lmtatron We all dressed according to the Sophomore's wrshes, and catered to the upper classmen all day lt was a peat deal of fun and made us feel as though we were offrcrally a part of L H S Another outstandrng event was the Tug of War We pulled wrth the Junrors, but because there were so few boys in our class, we couldn't grve them too much help so, of course, we were pulled rn Oh well it was all for fun anyhow' Our Homecomrng Queen candrdate for the Freshmen year was Judy Wade, and our Snow Queen candrdate was Peggy Nellrgan. These were two brg social events of the year, and we were very proud of our chorce of candrdates As the school bells rang in 1955, an eager group of Sophomores made therr way through the halls of L H S We found that dre famrlrar faces of Delores Sayles, David Scoggrns, Donna Cavenaugh, Reta Cochrane, Mae Ruth Dodds, Brenda Larsen, Guy Luzrer, and Mrda Norton were gone Also mxssing was Peggy Nelligan who had started school wrth out class Of course we were sorry they had left us, but to parnally take their place we had Janet Heath and Sue Oteney Another member who had left us, but could not be replaced, was Kurt Zregler Hrs death rs the one dark spot rn our class hlsta-y, however our memories of Kurt will never be forgotten. At our first class meetrng of this year, we agam elected Larry Hamilton as our Presrdent Judy Wade was Vrce Pr-esrdent, Grnny Smith, Secretary, and Gale Adams, Treasurer Mr Spercher was agarn chosen our Class Advrsor The highlrght of our Sophomore year was selectmg our class rings We chose the Catalina style, whrch we all hked very much lt seemed hke the date for our rrngs to arrive would never come, but when they frnally drd everyone agreed that they were worth wartmg for Agarn we had to choose candrdates for the honor of being queen We chose Deanna Rrce as our candrdate for Homecomrng Queen and Sally Tiernan as our Snow Qreen candrdate . .
