Nawgutor Published By The Navigator Staff Ardith Lou Wade Litchfield High School Litchfield, Michigan Editor-in-Chief THIS I5 YUUR SN W' S Y E .ulgumm . :NW Q Wy for gi: Mlmlhx X' Af ' iw K XX Usdxcwed IU ,f M,fM THE LITCHFIELD TOWNSHIP AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL DISTRICT This represents the main school building plus the 12 room addition completed in 1951 Fourteen districts now have valuation of 35,255,928 Nearly seven hundred pupils are taught by twenty six teachers Eight busses bring the rural children in from an area covering six townships and a part of four counties, Hillsdale, Branch, Calhoun, and Jackson The new 12 room elementary addition was made possible by a 3l75,000 bond issue This bond issue runs for a twenty year period, but should be paid off in thirteen years The bonds sold at a very low in+erest rate due largely to certain factors such as the excellent condition and productivity of Hillsdale County farms. Three thriving industries, the Simpson Company, the Litchfield Dairy, and Game-Time Incorporated provide steady payrolls and ready income for residents of Litchfield. 3 0 I ' , Y.,-H' X QA .,,....-- - ' A .2 3 Luv Asgllf :ai f-ff J X ,, fin.
