Glee is composed of le toys, They sang 'Tis Morn and The Bells of Shandon on the Spring Program and they received many compliments. They really put their minds on the selections and worked together to form a good unison or harmony. Jean Bounds has been their accompanist. MIXED CHORUS The chorus, organized by Mrs. Hobart last September, proved very successful, Although it made only two public appearances this year, plats: members have enjoyed the weekly rehearsals very much. The group sang All In the April Evening and Fairest, Lord Jesus for the annual Spring Program held st the Congregational Church on March twenty-eighth, and also took part in the massed chorus, along with the other schools in the county, | at Seville, on the evening of May ninth. DEBATE The question for debate this year was: Re- solved, That the power of the federal government should be increased, The debate teams consisted of Janice Hines, Susan Dangelo and Ruth Petersen, alternate for the affirmative; Max Barth, Evelyn Everiss and Dorothy Rising, alternate for the negutive. The affirmative team defeated Sharon here, January 10, winning 5 to 0. The negative journey- ed to Hinkley and lost 3 to 9. 7 On Jamary 16, the affirmative won from Spencer %3 to O at Spencer, and the negative won 2 to l from Leroy, here. We regretted the loss to Hinckley because it b kept us from being county champions. We wish to thank Miss Markley and Mr. Jackson, the debate coaches, for beloing our teams, and 4 for their great interest shown in debate work. WZ! At the close of the sexuson each debater was NY rewarded with a pin given by the school. PPrrietrrestesrittrrsttr rr iitrreire yititirtrrgetretttiereticrs etter ii eret
