Christian Fellowship and friendly service. | Miss Morton was our advisor. Mrs. Jackson ) graciously contributed to our progress, also. | The Friendship Chain held its meetings on the first and third weeks of cach month, usually on a Tuesday. One meeting a month was devoted to the discussion of importent problems concerning young girls and to lectures; the other meeting was usually devoted to craft or social work. After each meeting the girls enjoyed an ap- petizing supper which they took turns in preparing and serving. Each month the girls carried out a project for the service side of the Girl Reserve Triangle. Some of the most successful activities carried out were: Box Social to raise money for County Y. W. C. A., program for Grange, featuring a stunt and song; Christmas caroling, together with the Hi-Y Club; Hi-Y and G. R. Valentine party at the town hall. Our former County Secretary, Miss Horn, resig- § ned and Mrs. Bixler has taken her place. | Our purpose is to: FIND AND GIVE THE BEST. — - o - ad This year the Litchfield Hi-Y had a membership of twenty-one members. The officers were Max Barth jf president, Howard Browand, vice president, and ; Court Musser, secretary and treasurer. The Hi-Y purpose is to create, maintain and extend throughout the school and community, high standards of Christian Character. We are also taught clean speach, clean sports, clean scholar- ship, and clean hiving. During the year there were two G.R.-Hi-Y parties. The Hi-Y also enjoyed a swimming party and show in Cleveland. Max Barth, Junior Musser, and Keith Leach is represented our club at the Medina County Hi-Y | Councils eae Every bov that is of high school age should do@Re + himself a favor and join Hi-Y. GIRLS! SEXTET This year the sextet was composed of Irene ' Psota, Mabelle Stocker, sopranos; Laurel Ever- A PAPAS } S17: ( 4 Ki anes apkyeeisartties ma aS) SEE AT MAL OT Mani iss, Eleanor Browand, second sopranos; Evellyn -Everiss and Dorothy Rising altos. On many occasions we were asked to sing and graciously accepted. We sang for the Ladies' Benevolent Society, Cemetery and Park Associa- tion, Grange, Junior Play, reception for the new Congregation minister and the farewell for Rev. and Mrs. Juell, Christmas program, spring pro- ' gram, and the ensemble festival. Our last per- formance was for Bacclesureate service. We received a rating of superior on the ensemble festival this year. OCTET This year for the first time an octet was organized. The main reason it was started was because the boys' quartet was given up, but the boys were still interested in singing in an ensemble of some description. The years' per- formance included the Ladies' Benevolent Society, the Grange, the Junior play, the Christmas pro- gram, the Spring program and the ensemble festi- val, on which we received a superior plus rating. We were picked from the school to join the County Chorus. | Those included in the octet were: Harry Lloyd and Martin Schmidt, tenors; Mabelle Stoc+ ker and Eleanor Browand, sopranos; Dorothy Rising and Evellyn Everiss, altos; Howard Browand and Johnny Steiner, bases. The octet had two regular practices every week. Much Interest was showed by the group in singing. Girls! Glee There were twenty-nine girls in the Glee Club this year. The group had two performances during the year, which included the Spring program and the mass chorus music festival presented as Sevilic on May ninth.
