We were greatly impressed by the beauty md atmosphere of this restaurant. The food was excellent. First was the appetizer, — tomato juice. Then the main course was served. We took our choice of chow mein, chop suey, or fish, and either tea or coffee. For dessert we had ice cream. . While eating, we were entertained by Anna Ballek who gave the welcome speech, Evellyn Everiss, who . gave the thank you speech and Mr. Moore and Mr. Lang |) enderfer who gave extemperaneous speeches. From the New China Cafe we went to Lowe's Still- man where we saw “The Ziegfield Girl. After the show, we disbanded and started for home. From the remark S that floated around the next day, we are sure that everyone enjoyed himself immensely. There was one car that could not drive over a gery moderate speedy We wonder if that explains the reason for their early arrival home--and I do mean Sa Pn Ye = —7 = = “ Ye So ae Ee, om yrncnvvon Es Y Fadl U Sain aa RET: ple R She Eo Ne Ly rin Sr “4 Aye

—— PSS Zz SZ PS Pras a Pen SI Sains eee Ze Nae ape ae ae ee ae 7 p whe Door To Success Is Labeled 'Pusht Again Commencement time has greeted us to find the class of 194l’ready to graduate from twelve years of school, and to meet life as we find it. We know that we are mere infants in the knowledge of the age; we also are aware that we are immature and perhaps inexperienced in meeting life with its toils and turmoils. Never- theless we must go on and not stop to linger. While we pause for a moment, we rapidly reminisce about our school days,» The thought of going on at first thrills us, but when we consider it more seriously we are emotionally stirred. We move on with a tear, a sigh, and a smile, Our class has chosen for its motto: The door to success is labeled !Push! , What does that mean?----Itmeans that if success is to be achieved we must be willing to push the door to success through hard work and earnest effort. We cannot expect merely to push a button and have the door automatically open. Success in life is not as easy to attain as that. If it were I do not think the word success would hold any significames for us. Tomorrow calls us. We must answer that call and go forth, nog only as a group, but al- so as individuals, Each of us will start out on his own way to blaze his own path and to open his individual door to success. Youth has within its heart a desire to a- chieve true and lasting success. It has always been this way. Nature has so equipped the young person that he naturally looks forward with real anticipation to the opportunities which he feels that life affords, and awaits the day when he can ably take a position in the world of hu- man affairs, It seems that he will never grow into manhocd sometimes. But such is not the case That day will come all too soon, and fly by all too quickly} No one one will find fault with the young persons who are ambitious to grow older in order that they may be able to do the work of a man or woman. The time will come when we will have the opportunity of seeing our budding ambitions
