24 Homecoming 1988 Activities then moved to McQuiddy Gymnasium. The Concert Band performed sev- eral outstanding numbers. At the end of the concert, the combined choruses sang “America the Beautiful’ while the band accompanied. When the music ceased, President Hazelip began the Awards Ceremony by recognizing Lee Camp as Bachelor of Ugliness and Kathryn Dean as Miss Lipscomb of 1988. Five new Hall of Fame inductees were recognized and presented plaques for their service. R. Lyn Baker, George R. MclIn- tosh, Robert Neil, Chuck Ross, and Homer Carlton Stinson, Jr. were the five inductees. The awards ceremony culmi- nated with the crowning of Jennifer Miller as Lipscomb’s 1988 Homecoming Queen. The band played while the atten- dants and their escorts filed into the gym. Mary Helen Lit- tle and Brent Fry represented the Freshman class, while Kathryn Camp and Scott Broadway represented the Sophomores.
