If you have a TV and an old hanger antenna, yo u might, just MIGHT, be able to pick up “DLU Digest,” a television show produced by Lipscomb students. Under the guidance of Dr. Bill Proctor, a handful of students compose this half- hour news cast. Through each week, reporters Flemming Bell and Sonya Zorn film stories or ask students questions for each week’s show. On Monday evening, the group gathers at 5:30 to discuss the week’s news and plan the show. The team then breaks to write the scripts, set up the equipment, and prepare their appearances. When everything has been finished, filming be- gins on the introductions to the stories and the news for the week. The show is usally co- hosted by Mark Fry and either Brandi Blaylock or Michelle DeClue. The show also has weather with Greg Corely, a sports segment with Sports In- formation Director Andy Lane, and a movie review with Melanie Sutton. The technical crew includes Randy Ham, Rich Kindall, and Glyna Malaer. Tuesday night the show is edited by producer Mike Men- ninger and the final product is broadcast on channels 10 and 61 Wednesday at 9:00 pm. Below, left: Melanie Sutton re- views this week’s movie.
