Success can be defined in many different ways. Katheryn Camp, a freshman from Talladega, Ala., said the success of David Lips- comb College is “the people.” “A strong bond exists between students and between students and faculty,’ commented John Roberson, a junior from Dayton, Tenn.” We are not retaining job skills. We are learning a way of life and a way of peace.” Lispcomb has felt the changes of this country in 1987, such as the crash of the stock market, and undergone changes of its own. A still-new president, the tranfor- mation of the home economics de- partment, and a new telephone system are only a few of the nu- merous changes that have oc- curred here. But even in this con- stantly-changing world, our attitudes decide the degree of our success. Students are taught to think, to adjust to the changes, to come up with solutions for the problems of our society, and to care about each other along the way. That’s really no secret, and it’s been a highly successful for- mula for many Lipscomb gradu- ates over the past ninety-seven years. 'G Opening
