ur team began their trek into what many students believe to be another dimension, a dimension not only of money and work, but of reality. The crew set out to solve this puzzle and found one student slumped in front of the Bison Room T.V. watching ‘All My Children.” Reality? Real World? ‘Yeah — you know, man — sex, drugs, alcohol, rock-n-roll, poverty ... ut U ‘Well, maybe for some, but ...' ‘Man, you don't know nothin’. The working world is where it’s at, when you're out on your own and it's up to you to survive.” ‘What will that be like?” ‘Tt will mean work, married life, kids, old age, true responsibilities, and defi- nite problems.” “But don’t you have responsibilities now? And definite problems?” The student thought about it and smiled. ‘Hey man — I’m in the real world! ’ Then he slipped back into the world of Erica and Jessie and Greg and The real world, we discovered, is what is real to you. Anyplace can be the real world. So all places do not have the same situations and influences. So what? Wherever you are is the real world.

ur research team surfaced again, this time at the very heart and soul of the college. Since 1891 students have been enrolled in Bible classes and attended chapel services to learn the Bible as the revealed will of God and as the only and sufficient rule of faith and practice. Although negative feelings do exist, many students feel that chapel services and Bible classes are great and that they wouldn't be here if they thought otherwise. Carrying their clipboards and legal pads, the team prowled aisle to aisle and interrogated students to discover their feelings on Bible and chapel. “I believe a voluntary chapel would give a better atmosphere,”’ one girl said as she slapped a snoozing head from her shoulder. Bible should be pass or fail.” ‘Willard’s announcements are great.” This does not mean that one group is good and the other bad; it just reveals the truth that these are people, people who differ greatly in background and attitude. They are students in the process of learning about everything: science and English and business and life. And they're young adults breaking away from Mom and Dad, trying to make their own place in society, and developing new ideas, their own ideas. Then, President Collins comments on | the “beautiful day and beautiful fall trees’’ as the morning sun shines brightly through the large windows, and everyone smiles and laughs occasionally with him, searching, consciously or unconsciously, for that feeling of brotherly love that comes through the Lord. That is all.
