ST BISON DAY 22 BISON MANIA found itself in living rooms across the Nashville area when it was featured on the November 10 evening news. The event was Bison D ay a day-long pep rally celebrating the 1st Bison basketball game. It promoted quite a bazaar panorama to see the bobbing masses erupt into high-spirited cheering as Bison Day received its official proclamation by Willard Collins, who promptly received paraphernalia from each club in the form of sink plunges and layers of hats. Tau Phi paratroopers provided the after-chapel ex- clusive when they sent Collins sky-high in a hot air balloon raising their “‘Bomb ’em Bisons’’ banner. Their extravagance placed 2nd while Sigma Chi Delta took the prize in the men’s division storming McQuiddy gym as tarred and feathered chickens with Colonel in hot pursuits. ‘‘Plunge to Victory’’ was the key phrase in the women’s competition as Psi Alpha ‘“‘Tidy Bowl’ men flushed the first-place category. Pi Delta’s dynamite blasted into second place to culminate the day’s fren- zied activities. The Bison basketball season openers resulted in double victories to provide the crowning touch.
