Looking forward to a year soon to commence gives one a perspective not found from any other angle. With hope and anticipation for what was to come, we saw the year 1980-81 initiate the Golden Decade for David Lipscomb College, which would cul- minate on October 5, 1991 when the college celebrated its one hun- - dredth birthday. The 1981 Backlog seeks to record the events from April 1980 to March 1981 that made the year a special one for everyone involved by presenting a smorgas- bord of pictures, articles, and facts that display a cross-section of the year at Lipscomb.
