Piet 2 FA —7 == — CARL McKELVEY VICE-PRESIDENT OF CAMPUS AFFAIRS Carl McKelvey, our philosopher vice-president, is President Collins’ most appreciative fan. Everyday he discovers new responsibilities that President Collins has carried over many years, seemingly without emotional distress. Dr. McKelvey not only works with Deans Loyd and Gamble regarding campus activities, but also spends many hours in direct contact with Lipscomb students. A variety of meetings, chapel, teachers, students, reporting, and, of course, a little country (Parton) music are sandwiched into his hectic daily schedule. Years of experience working with the Vultee congregation and teaching religious education and Bible courses at Lips- comb have combined with a honed shrewdness gained from trading knives with others teachers to make Dr. McKelvey the right man in the right place.

14 ‘a MACK WAYNE CRAIG VICE-PRESIDENT OF INSTITUTIONAL PLANNING “Where can I serve?”’ This question enters the mind of many people, but few take the initiative to answer it. Dr. Mack Wayne Craig, Vice President for Institutional Planning, an- swers it in more ways than one. His duties take him to many sections of the country where he acknowledges his beliefs and convictions for Christian education. ““My main function in life is to glorify God. I found I could do this best by teaching in a Christian school.” His experience as a Christian educator has spanned an interval of more than 30 years. As a member of the Board of Governors of Belle Meade Mansion, the Board of Directors of Historic Nashville, Incorporated and as president of Union Station Trust Fund he shows his interest in people. Most important and most evident is his interest in God and the things that are good. The Tuesday night devotionals seem to lack something when Dr. Craig is not able to be there to lead singing and most assuredly the campus would lack something if he was not here to help lead us. Dr. Mack Wayne Craig — his academic and educational achievements are many, his contributions to people are outstanding, and his life is an example to all who know him. ADMINISTRATION
