WILLARD COLLINS PRESIDENT He came back to Lipscomb in 1944 and helped to raise the money that saw the school blossom into a senior Christian college. For over thirty years he accepted every conceivable job, some pleasant, some painful, and with determination served well at all of them. He had ideas and visions that could bring us together and they matured finally into reality. Thirty-plus years of service to every divi- sion of Lipscomb readied him for the day when he, more than anyone else, was needed to lead. The board, the faculty, the students and patrons rose as one to his visions of greatness, but even more to Willard Collins, the man. “Behold an Is- raelite indeed, in whom is no guile.” 13

14 ‘a MACK WAYNE CRAIG VICE-PRESIDENT OF INSTITUTIONAL PLANNING “Where can I serve?”’ This question enters the mind of many people, but few take the initiative to answer it. Dr. Mack Wayne Craig, Vice President for Institutional Planning, an- swers it in more ways than one. His duties take him to many sections of the country where he acknowledges his beliefs and convictions for Christian education. ““My main function in life is to glorify God. I found I could do this best by teaching in a Christian school.” His experience as a Christian educator has spanned an interval of more than 30 years. As a member of the Board of Governors of Belle Meade Mansion, the Board of Directors of Historic Nashville, Incorporated and as president of Union Station Trust Fund he shows his interest in people. Most important and most evident is his interest in God and the things that are good. The Tuesday night devotionals seem to lack something when Dr. Craig is not able to be there to lead singing and most assuredly the campus would lack something if he was not here to help lead us. Dr. Mack Wayne Craig — his academic and educational achievements are many, his contributions to people are outstanding, and his life is an example to all who know him. ADMINISTRATION
