Religion—A Reality One thousand people in prayer .. . one thousand voices in praise . . . one thousand hearts stirred . . . this is the reality of re- ligion. Chapel comes at ten o'clock in the morning. Outdoor devotionals come at ten o'clock in the evening. College is college, but Lipscomb is different ... from a pause comes progress; from devotion, dimension. Vice-President Collins in the fall... Jim Bill Mclnteer in the spring . . . speaking and stirring . . . words leaving imprints on lives . . . sermons transcending one week's meet- ing. Toys and children's clothes . . . gaily wrapped gifts of love . . . going from col- lege classes to orphanages . . . Lipscomb sharing Christmas with children . . . pure religion in action. Student minister Sam McFarland, speaker for the Berry's Chapel meeting, embodies the spiritual purpose of Lipscomb in training young Christian leaders.
