The Central Heating Plant (7) has steam lines to nearly all campus buildings and has an ultimate capacity of twice the present load. Avalon Hall (8), the old home of David Lipscomb, has been completely renovated to house the department of music. The High School Library and Science Departments (9) are situated close to Harding Hall (10), the home of the high school and elementary school. Also near Harding Hall is Burton Gymnasium (II), which serves as a practice gymnasium and for intramural athletic events. Elam Hall (12) is the 200-room dormitory for young men. Found near Elam Hall are the Married Students Apartments (13). Crisman Memorial Library (14) is a completely modern library with the very best equipment. The Cafeteria is located on the first floor of Sewell Hall, while the Student Center is located on the first floor of College Hall and houses the post office, bookstore, soda fountain, and sandwich counter.

i ae Pte Visitors to the David Lipscomb College campus frequently remark that there is a spiritual atmosphere that is refreshing and inspiring. The present home of the college is on a beautiful shady campus of forty-three acres, near enough to the city to enjoy the advantages afforded by its libraries, lectures, and recitals, and at the same time far enough frpm the city itself to be a rest- ful home. College Hall (1) provides space for sixteen classrooms, in addition to the home economics department, and houses the administrative offices. At- wore ee iver te oe ae tached to College Hall is Alumni Auditorium, which will seat 1,432 in opera chairs. The Chemistry building (2) and the Biology Building (3) provide adequate laboratory and classroom facilities with new and modern equipment throughout. McQuiddy Physical Education Building (4) has a seating ca- pacity of approximately 3,250 with a spacious basketball playing floor, two separate swimming pools, lockers, classrooms, staff offices, and recreation rooms.
