Along with the traditional skills of sewing and cooking, LHS students had the opportunity to study children as they develop from conception. Preschoolers between the ages of three and five became a part of the class two days a week to enable the class to work with children using the skills learned. I. There is almost no limit to what can be dissected. The animal must have died a natural death, however. Chicken eggs were incubated and opened on certain days to observe the chick embryo.
