Krumwi MIL Cir. 'lapis im fllfum 'Ai BASKETBALL Linton's basketball team rates high among the best in the 30-year Nott Terrace-Linton history. By many, it is considered actually the greatest. At this writing, right atter the second Mont Pleasant game, the team has won every one ot its I3 games, and, counting the I5 straight games won to close last seasor, has achieved our 28th consecutfve victory. Also with this same game we have clinched our second consecutive Class A Section 2 champi- onshiplthis time as early as February I9. Qur boys have shown their ability to come trom behind. particularly in the tirst NYMA game which they won 62-59, pulling the contest out ot the tire in the tinal minute. In both games with our crosstown rival they also came from behind. ln the tirst game, played on the Mont Pleasant court, they rallied in the last tour minutes to win 52-47. ln the second game, they caught tire in the tinal quarter to tinish 7I-58 atter trailing each ot the tirst three quarters. In bath games with perennial nemesis Amsterdam, they led throughout. The starting tive consisted ot Barry Kramer t3O-point averagel, Jaclcie Washington, Bob Murray, Milne Sahr, and Jim Seaman. These were ably assisted by tine substitutes, incluoing Bob Elwell, Carl t-leiner, Dave Torre, Milne Ottati, Ed Rollins, Diclc Clemente, and Marshall Family. All showed the results ot Walt Przybylos coaching with their well- executed ottensive and detensive patterns, particularly with their ability to change detenses to meet new situations.
