Tha If Wing Qpinilb Coach William Eafon came To LinTon This year faced wiTh reconsTrucTion problems and few holdovers from lasT season. Through his leadership, LinTon's Foofball Team is now on The road back To success. Lending a helping hand were new assisTanT coaches, Dominick Denio and Richard Lalla, wiTh refurning line coach William Purdy. Eafon, in his firsT year as coach, had The fellows moving ouT of a Two plaToon sysTem, which seemed To wear The opposiTion down. Under The reviTalizaTion program of Coach Lalla, The backfield picked up speed and disTance. A solid line was developed under The waTchful eyes of Coaches Denio and Purdy. These facTors added up To a powerful Team. which began To show Tremendous power near The end of The season. Senior Co-capfains Dave Torre and Claude Guerra led The backfield as well as The line To firsT downs in every game. The iunior-dominaTed squad received fighfing spiriT from fasT and lighf backs as Dick McNeal, Nick Capra. VARSITY FOOTBALL ' ijfwr 7 www Sepf.
