Howard Thompson, that well-known and distin- guished old bachelor has recently been appointed U. S. Ambassador to the Fuyji Islands. Abige Smith has just been released from the hos- pital after a serious injury to his big toe caused from a fall off a ladder while puttying windows. Mrs. Horace Hoople, the former Emmalou Wilson, has recently been blessed with a new addition to her lovely family of 15. She manages them well for she whips them all regularly once a week. If she doesn't know why ---- they do!! Gene Custer, now a famous inventor, has recently patented a device similar to a torpedo for shootingchdk in the schoolroom.' This should prove to be a very pop- ular gadget, as it effects a more accurate aim andgnaur speed. Richard Lambert spends his time peddling ice cream in a little cart on the streets of Wabash. He findstus useful in keeping his weight down to 'the proper 250 pounds and also as a fair means of livelihood. Ruth Pollitt Tyler Johnson Brown, who has been married and divorced three times already, is now travel- ing about the country giving lectures to women--uHelpdd Hints on How to Hold Your Hubby.m Dick Weesner has been in the U. S. Navy for overven years now and has seen the four corners of the earth. But, as the old saying goes, he does not have a sweet- heart in every port ------ He has two! Mimi Paloola, formerly known as Donna Rife, is a well-known designer of the Tryan Fittum Women's Clothhng Stores in New York. Her HHandsome Hussyn styles are known all over the world.
