Class History In 1944 we began our ftrst step toward an educatlon at L1nev1lle Publlc School Nme eager students were we Janet Duben Max McClar'1on Norma Duff1eld Peggy Baker John Sllger Barbara Olson Karen Greenlee Jerry Sh1elds and Ruth Ann Duffleld In the flrst grade thrs group was Jolned by Johnny Akes Barbara Evans Ellls Holllnger Earl Dean Garland Ronnle McCarty and Larry McCarty In the second grade Shirley Henry Bob McKern Gllbert Sanders Carlene Ragan Delorls Plummer Barbara Sheets Conrad Claghorn and EmaLou Brrght were new students In the thrrd grade our number was lncreased by Joe Cha st1ne Dav1d Day and Larry Judd but we lost John Sllger At the end of fourtd graoe we lost Peggy Baker Charlene Ragan Bob McKern Shrrley Henry Delorls Plummer Barbara Sheets Conrad Claghorn and EmaLou Brrght In flfth grade we were Jolned by Rlchard Gerdes June Bryan and Kay Hawklns but Barbara Evans declded to go to Mercer In srxth grade we galned Meredlth Thompson who left at the end of the year Also Larry McCarty and Barbara Olson moved to Des MOlDGS and Jerry Shlelds went to Oregon Durlng the next two years J1mmy Beavers Ames Petty and Rlchard Snell came to Joln us but Janet Duben left to attend school 1n Des Molnes and Max McClarnon went to Prlnceton Mo As we entered school as green freshmen we galned Rex Brrght Wtlma Jackson Nora Jones John Maln Ruth McKee John Orey Vane Orey James Vogel and Bernard Vogel At the end of our freshman year we los Wllma Jackson and Ruth McKee who wanted to be house wlves and also one boy John Orey Durlng the mlddle of our sophomore year Sharon Loveless became one of our classmates havlng moved from Granger Iowa to Llnevllle Durlng our Junlor year we lost Rlchard Gerdes who moved to Corydon Iowa and Sharon Loveless who decided to get marrleo But we also galned two new students Nancy Loveless and Joanne Smrth Durrng the summer of 19:6 Davrd Day passed away In our sen1or year John Akes moved to Idaho Nancy Loveless dec1ded to get marrleo and at the half Kay HBWKIDS started gorng to Leon Hlgh School Only three of the elghteen senlors have attended L1nev1lle School all twelve years Norma Duffteld Ruth Ann Duffleld and Karen Greenlee We have all enjoyed belng together tnrougn our scnool years We hope the senrors ln the future w1l1 enjoy school as much as we have.
