LINDSAY STUDENTS PAY LOWER BUS FARE Bus fares for students who ride Pentran buses were cut from 2Ogt per ride last year to 1Ogt per ride this year. The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. William A. Anderson, made the a.nnouncement in August just a few days before school opened. The change in fares affects all students in junior and senior high schools in Hampton. The decreased fare is the result of certain federal funds being made available to Pen- tran by opening all bus routes to all riders. Previously school bus routes were open only to students, but this year they are open to all. Adults, and those students who ride with- out tickets must pay 3Ogt per ride. Lindsay students can be seen buying their tickets in the mornings before school in the school cafeteria on Mondays and Thursdays. Tickets are available in groups of ten for 51. OO. Fifteen buses are used to bring students to school each day, and to return home in the afternoon. Students come to Lindsay from as far as Fort Monroe and North King Street. 741 Bus fares
