The Lindsay Lion Cross Country Club roared to the city junior high championship by defeating Jones and ' Eaton in a meet held at Hampton High School in October. Final score Was Lindsay 27, jones 32, Eaton 61 Clow score Winsh. Five Lindsay runners fin- ished in the top 10 to insure the victory. Michael Thomas, Kelvin Palmer, Felton Hawkins, Nathaniel Couser and Alvin Brown were coached by Mr. Al Shochet to the victory. In addition Lindsay 128 Syms 66 to winning 4 of 5 dual meets, the team also Lindsay 115 Davis 79 , entered in the Hampton Institute Relays, Lindsay 104 Spratley 90 winning two firsts and a second, and two Lindsay 92-1X2 Jones 101-1 2 , seconds and a- third at the Todd Stadium 95 Q Relays, and Keith White won the 50 yard f dash at the Norfolk Relays, and the 440 re- , E f lay team took second.
