The Pep Club set as its goals for 1976-77 to help the cheerleaders promote school spirit and to cheer the Lind- say football team to victory. They attended all pep ral- lies, and all away football games, as well as those at home. To pay for their transportation, the group sold donuts. Each member of the club bought a shirt designed by the sponsors, Mrs. Berry and Mrs. Brumm. Approximately 55 girls joined the club, and the officers were Char- lene Mason, President, Dev'lon Campbell, Vice President, and Paula Kea- ton, Secretary. ll ll ll ll llulll Pep Club ll 8 ' T2 y 7-is fo- M! - .. - ki ,-,.f ' ' J ' .ffl AT LEFT: Mrs. Patricia Brummg ABOVE: Mrs. Margarette Berryg both are sponsors of the Lind- say Pep Club. 61

The 1976-77 Lindsay basketball teams, both varsity and junior varsity, boasted of undefeated records at the midpoint of both their seasons. Coach Walter Brower's varsity had accumulated seven wins and no losses, while Coach Jerry Turner's J.V. squad had racked up six wins and no losses. Coach Brower's squad boasted of Larry Warren's scoring at a pace of better than 17 points, and other scoring leaders among the top five were Wayne Lynch, Bernard Dennis, James Thomp- son, and Keith White. Bernard Dennis was the rebound leader, Warren was Coach's choice for best all around player, and White was the best defen- sive player. Coach was also pleased with the bench strength, not losing any strength at any position. Coach Turner-'s squad of J.V.'s playing in the city recreation league boasts not only of an undefeated team but also that these are the varsity players we will see next year ' Ti 'r' ' . qq Basketball Teams Look To Winning Seasons 76- 77 . . .
