Future Homemakers Of America This year, the Lindsay Chapter of the Fu- ture Homemakers of America is sponsored by Mrs. Y.D. Spriggs. The purpose of the organization is to help the individual im- prove her personal, family and community life, as well as to develop her leadership ability. The group meets once each month. For the 1976-77 school year the activities include a Chapter Project, collecting money for the heart fund, a bingo party for the elderly, field trips to the Art Gallery, and Wax Museum. Various fund raising pro- jects were planned to pay for the trips. Officers for the year were Janet Hawks, President: Stacey Washington, Program Vice President: Helema Ward, Recreation Vice-President, Secretary, Sonya Smith, Treasurer, Donna Fogging and Reporter, Sonya Swann. Chess Club Since chess requires much mental concentration and ability, many of the students involved have had to really make an effort during the year.
