Band Activities The Lindsay High School Band par- ticipated this year in the following events: the County Fair and oil exposition at Pauls Valley where they won lst place in marchingg the State Fair at which they won 2nd place in marching, the State Marching Contest at which they won lst division in marching and also lst place in the parade. The Band started their concert season by attending the District Contest. They won a lst divison and also a 2nd division in sightreading. They won over Healdton, 39 13. The next playoff game was at Walters with the Blue Devils. It was a very close and exciting gms and in the last minutes the Leopards won, 13 7. The lewkirk Tigers were next on the list and the Leopards were on their home field. At this time, the Leopards were enthused about winning State and Ind no intention of losing a game. At the beginning of the fourth quarter, the score was tied 20 20, and Bewkirk was leading by one penetration. The local fans were getting worried. The Leopards took the ball in the last minutes of the game and mde two penetrations. The final score was 20 The final Class B playoff game Gorillas were favored to win over the team was trailing in every way except 20, but the Leopards won by one penetration. was at Lewis Field in Stillwater, with the Picher Gorillas. The Leopards and at the half it looked as :Lf they might. The Leopard scores. The score was O O. The last half showed some fast action out of the Leopards, however.
