At this time the captain of the football team, James Davis Foley, chose Joy Morris, a member of the Pepper Club, to be his bride. The co-captain, Donald Wayne Romans, chose Mary Belle Mccaughey to act as maid-of-honor. Mr. Leopard must promise to share all of his football honors andto be to Miss Pepper a true and loving player in all sports. Miss Pepper must cleave only to him, leaving all other social obligations and be to him in all games a true and faithful pep leader. Mr. Leopard and Miss Pepper are united in holy wedlock before the faculty and student body. The Lindsay High School Leopards played a good year of football winning two out of ten games and tieing one, which may not sound like much, but tous it shows that our boys made a great effort and never lost their enduring courage. The high-lightof the season was the game between Davis and Lindsay played on Novem- ber 8, here at Burford Field. Both teams showed great sportsmanship, Lindsay winning with a score of 20-18. Those that will not be with the team next year are James Foley, Donald Romans, Charles Pugh, Eulys Gardner, Bob Gilbert and Dowell Webster. Thisis the second year for a girls basketball team and it is one we are indeed very proud of. They enteredin the HAll Girl Tournamentw held here January 9-10-ii. They were defeated however in the semifinals by Maysville aften an excellent game. They entered the County Tournament but were defeated by Elmore City by a close score of 15-17.
