1 4 HA Fmt atLz'na'!Q1 E H 0mec0mz'ng The homecoming queen for the Lindley Junior High School year of sixty-six and sixty-seven was Debbie Freeman. Homecoming is a big and wonderful affair at any school and it was at Lindley. Debby was the first homecoming queen for Lindley Junior High School. She was choosen to be the homecoming queen by the students. The queen and her court consisted of five students. They are as fol- lows: Kerri Herring, Debbie Darby, Carolyn Roach, Sherry Tumblin, and the queen, Debbie Freeman. The escorts were Kenny Sosebee, Larry Powers, R. B. Dolan, Ed Acree, and Larry Ivester. The students elected Debbie during the homeroom periods before the homecoming. No one knew who the queen was until the night of the game. Lindley played Marietta at the homecoming and Lindley stomped Marietta twenty to seven. There was a very large crowd of Lindley supporters at the homecoming. At half-time the winning girl was announced and the large crowd let out a terrific scream. The principal Mr. Kenneth Moore crowned Debbie and presented the roses to her. The cheerleaders surrounded Debbie with congratulations and kisses. The sponsors of the homecoming were Mrs. Cole and Mr. Robertson. Many thanks should be given to these people because they gave up a lot of their time and effort in working and rehearsing with the queen, her court, and the escorts. 69 FIRST ROW left to right, 7th Grade, Kerri Herring 8th Grade, Debbie Darby 9th Grade Carolyn Roach Queen, Debbie Freeman, 9th Grade Sherry Tumblrn SECOND ROW escorts Kenny Sosebee Larry Powers, R.
