They sent the boys over-seas candy, books, food, and letters. The Y-Teens try to spread cleaner Christian living throughout this school and out of school. The Y-Teens plans to take a trip to the rest home this coming Spring. This group will do much and has done much for many people in our community and school. The feeling of many people around your and my community is if our school had more club and organizations like the Y-Teens it would be a better place to live. This club is worth supporting in many people's opinion and we hope you will support them when it is necessary. They are a clean, worthwhile, happy group that is willing to help you and me. 48

HI-2' Last year the boys of the Hi-Y at Lindley voted for the name Beta Chi junior Hi-Y. Mr. Siler, no longer at Lindley started from scratch to form the club. The Hi-Y had a softball team and won all of their games. The games were played against other clubs. This year Mr. Sheppard and Mr. Connor have done an excellent job with the Hi-Y. The members of the Hi-Y and Mr. Connor, and Mr. Sheppard are doing all they can to make the Hi-Y a great organization for the future students of Lindley. A scrapbook has been kept by the club secretary along with the min- utes of each meeting. The Beta Chi Hi-Y is affiliated with the YMCA of Marietta. Someone may ask these questions: What does a person achieve by being a member of the Hi-Y or the YMCA? Isn't the Hi-Y all work and no play? Most of the members of the Hi-Y would tell you that what they achieve is a feel- ing, a feeling that they have helped others .
